CALCIUM is an essential nutrient for leaf crops such as cabbage,
sprouts, etc. Rapidly expanding leaves require calcium for
proper maintenance of cell walls and membranes. Great for lawns
and pastures! In the absence of calcium, the leaf cells become
necrotic (dried and burned). This is particularly evident on the
youngest leaves inside the heads of cabbage and sprouts. Lettuce
and celery have similar “internal-browning” as with sprouts.

is an excellent supplement to a liming program and does not
interfere with the effectiveness of applied lime, as do ammonium
sulphate and ammonium nitrate.
